About HelpEpic

Practical workflow support for healthcare teams.

HelpEpic is a New York-based independent resource for hospitals, specialty groups and medical practices that need clear help with operational workflow problems, staff training gaps, changed processes and post-go-live friction.

Why HelpEpic exists

Healthcare teams often know the outcome they need but cannot quickly determine the operational path to reach it. Referrals stall between departments. Records are scanned but routed incorrectly. Scheduling steps vary by location. New staff inherit workarounds instead of documented procedures. Upgrades and migrations change familiar workflows faster than local guidance can keep pace.

HelpEpic gives teams a practical place to organize those problems, identify the responsible workflow, document what is happening and determine the right next step. The goal is not to replace an organization's authorized IT, security, compliance or clinical leadership. The goal is to help operational teams ask better questions, reduce repeated confusion and move work to the correct owner.

Who we support

Hospitals and health systems

HelpEpic supports departmental stabilization, repeatable staff guidance, workflow documentation, go-live follow-up and cross-team handoffs across complex organizations.

Specialty groups

We help high-volume practices examine workflows involving referrals, authorizations, outside records, scheduling, portal communication, orders and operational handoffs.

Independent practices

Smaller offices can use HelpEpic when internal help is limited, staff are learning changed workflows or managers need practical SOPs that reflect how the office actually operates.

What HelpEpic provides

  • Workflow stabilization after go-lives, upgrades, migrations and staffing changes.
  • Focused support for referral, scheduling, records, portal, order and billing-handoff problems.
  • Practice Workflow Desk engagements for recurring operational questions.
  • Departmental pilots that establish a contained scope before broader rollout.
  • Role-based staff guidance, training materials, checklists and standard operating procedures.
  • Clear escalation boundaries when an issue belongs with internal IT, security, compliance, privacy or clinical leadership.

How engagements begin

A HelpEpic engagement starts with the operational problem, the people affected, the workflow stage where work stops or repeats, and the response window the organization needs. The first conversation is designed to establish scope, identify immediate constraints and determine whether the issue is appropriate for HelpEpic or should be escalated through an authorized internal channel.

Privacy and safety boundaries

HelpEpic does not need patient-identifying information to discuss a workflow. Do not submit patient names, dates of birth, medical-record numbers, screenshots, clinical records, passwords or other protected or confidential information. HelpEpic does not provide clinical advice and is not an emergency clinical service.

Independent status

HelpEpic is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Epic Systems Corporation. Epic is a registered trademark of Epic Systems Corporation. References to Epic describe the healthcare workflows and environments for which independent operational support may be requested.
